2011 Courier-Mail Food and Wine Guide Winners

Oh baby, is Brisbane becoming a haven for food or what?

Here are some select winners;

Sanpellegrino Restaurant of the Year.

Ortiga.

446 BRUNSWICK ST. FORTITUDE VALLEY Q

Head Chef Pablo Tordesillas also took home the Chef of the Year award. Ortiga is the only restaurant in Queensland to be awarded three stars in the 2011 guide.

The Courier-Mail Best New Restaurant.

The Euro.
181 MARY ST. BRISBANE. Q.

I've yet to eat at the Euro, but have been to the accompanying bar 'The Laneway' on a few occasions. It seems like a great restaurant.

Regional Restaurant of the Year.

Nu Nu Restaurant.
123 Williams Esp. Palm Cove. Q.

Dean, Ben and Myself have eaten breakfast at this establishment. Rather than tell you how good it is, I'll present to you a photo of the coconut hotcakes with sweet banana, coconut sugar caramel and coconut sorbet I devoured.

Best Casual Dining.

South Bank Surf Club.
30AA Stanley Plaza Parklands. South Brisbane. Q.

Cafe of the Year.

Anouk Cafe.
212 Given Tce. Paddington. Q.

Merlo Barista of the Year.

Josh Russell. Cup Specialty Coffee.
85 Russell St. West End. Q.

Hands down best coffee in Brisbane. Don't even try and debate.
Awesome banana bread aswell!

Bar of the Year.

Canvas.
16B Logan Rd. Woolloongabba. Q.

I think it's safe to say that F.A.R.C. will need to hit these places up in a big way over the summer holidays.
